Beatrice Toh, 1988 - Graduated with a Master in Architecture from the University of Melbourne in 2011. In 2009, she spent a year obtaining practical experience in FMSA Architecture, a company based in Melbourne, through which she slowly began to unfold her passion for architecture. In the semesters to come, Beatrice selected varying design studio themes to push herself in different methods of designing and programming and found herself accepted into an exchange program in Stuttgart, Germany through which she was further exposed to European design influences. Her latest Thesis design project was short listed for the Bates Smart/ Raia Graduate Award.
While studying, she took up part time positions around the Architecture faculty such as casual tutoring as well as operating the fabrication laboratory that were provided as a service to the students. It was that experience that led her and a few friends to start a business of their own, providing design and laser cutting services under the name ThreeoFive P/L. In the 2 years of operation, ThreeoFive has won several competitions and expanded its service base Australia wide.
